In July 2022, I was invited to work with UNICEF…

After 17 years of shooting commercial and editorial, I experienced, possibly for the first time, the opportunity to create genuinely important work. Infinitely more so than feeding the egos of record labels and mega corporations’ bottom lines.

The object of our visit to Madagascar was to document the positive impact of UNICEF’s WASH programme on the lives of the children it reaches.

Before this commission, I knew little of the true work UNICEF is committed to worldwide. I was humbled by the insanely hard work, dedication and determination of their staff, both in the field and office. Their pursuit in the safety and protection of children is genuinely mind-blowing. We know so little of their relentless effort.

Here we visited the children and teachers of Manombo commune, primary school and health centre.

The WASH programme is about providing the three fundamentals of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene to remote villages and communities around the world.
