A dreamy commission from Trewithen Gardens to create a photography library for the brand new website designed by Nixon. It’s an ongoing journey as the garden evolves through the seasons.
I started in late summer, mostly shot at dawn, and continue through to early spring and onwards to the rest of this year.
It’s one of the most mindful commissions I’ve ever had, just me and the gardens,. I’m used to developing relationships with people in order to get the best possible portrait or the intense and exciting energy of live music photography, so to find myself, many times at dawn alone in this magical place was an absolute joy.
After a long and difficult winter with an excessive amount of rain and mire, I returned to the gardens to study the early spring/later winter flowering of the grandest Magnolia Tree in the UK
