Kaiser Chiefs Argentina & Brazil 2015
This was one fun tour to be on. I was originally sent out there to shoot the Foo Fighters for Shortlist magazine, and as it turned out the Kaisers were the support. So I stayed on for a few days.
I didn’t shoot stills as much as I wanted as I ended up making a music video for them shooting some of these dates and at the 02 Arena in London. It is damn hard shooting stills and video at the same time, the mind is split between the two tasks, which moment should belong to which medium. It’s genuinely not an enjoyable process, I love shooting this band, but I really wouldn’t want to do that again. I felt like I really missed some spectacular photographic moments when in video mode, and vice versa. However on reflection, many years later I love what I achieved across both disciplines, even if I don’t want to repeat the experience!
